for breastfeeding & pumpin' mums

About Us

Hi I'm Jess and I'm the creator of The Milk Pantry.

I first came across lactation cookies in 2007 after I had my 1st baby. I constantly had issues with mastitis and as a result suffered from a low milk supply. My preference is always to turn to natural alternatives before medication and that's where I discovered the magic of lactation cookies.
I was however not impressed by the taste of lactation products and decided to create something that would not only be effective but taste great too.

I now have 3 children and with each child brought its own challenges with breastfeeding so I feel I have a lot of first hand experience when it comes to boosting breast milk supply.

I have a passion for cooking and for helping others so providing tasty products for breastfeeding mums gets me excited!

My aim is to provide products that nourish the body as most mothers don't have the time to nourish their bodies and at times even struggle to find the time to eat. I also see new mums feeling the pressure to get back to pre baby weight and I enjoy creating products that can nourish the body without overloading it with unnecessary sugars, preservatives, additives and fats. I source only fresh, quality ingredients and use certified organic products wherever possible because it's so important that mums nourish their bodies with REAL food. As busy mums we need all the extra energy we can get!

The Milk Pantry now has an amazing team of mummas who all share the same values about breastfeeding and together we work incredibly hard to provide you with the best breastfeeding products.

In 2017 The Milk Pantry won the Sunshine Coast Business Award for Sustainability. This recognition was just amazing as I feel that The Milk Pantry has such a big part to play when it comes to sustainability. When we support mothers who want to continue their breastfeeding journey by boosting their milk supply this has a massive chain reaction on our economy. We not only reduce packaging from formula, bottles but we also reduce emissions from the factory and delivery processes that these products produce. When we breastfeed our babies we provide extra nutrients that formula cannot provide so this long term has a massive effect on the health of our children and then less impact on our health care system. When we breastfeed our bodies release Oxytocin, a hormone that helps us to bond with our baby and helps us to feel happier, this is also a massive advantage to our health care system as we will see less mothers with post natal depression. Thank you for helping us play our part for the environment now and for looking after our babies futures.
