When Can I Start Collecting Colostrum?
Many healthcare professionals recommend beginning antenatal colostrum expressing from around 36–37 weeks of pregnancy, provided your pregnancy is healthy and uncomplicated.
If you’ve been advised you’re at risk of preterm labour, have a high-risk pregnancy, or have any concerns, it’s important to speak with your midwife, obstetrician or healthcare provider before starting.
How to Use
- Wash your hands thoroughly before expressing.
- Hand express your colostrum into the silicone collection cup or directly into a collector.
- Pop the cap on securely.
- Label your collector with the date using the included breast milk labels.
- Store according to your healthcare provider’s recommendations.
- Keep everything neatly together in your included #MilkMaker storage bag.

Packed this thinking maybe I’d use it once or twice but I kept reaching for it. The design is really thoughtful and I didn’t feel like I was losing any of it which is such a big deal in those early days lovee this
Those first few days are alot and this just made one thing easier. Easy to use easy to store and didn’t feel complicated at all. I was a bit nervous about collecting but this made me feel more confident straight away
Used this in the hospital and honestly so glad I had it packed. The little syringes made it way less stressful than trying to figure it out half asleep. Everything just made sense and I didn’t feel like I was wasting anything which was my biggest worry
I bought this just in case and ended up using it more than I expected. The size is perfect for those early drops and it’s actually really easy to handle even when your hands are a bit shaky. Wish I had this with my first baby
